Smokey Savoury Oat Ball Snack

Don’t know about you but i’m obsessed with oats, I love sweet and I love savoury. They are so versatile, I bake and make with them all the time. My favourite thing to do with them is baked oats! If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out. I’ve come up with a few recipes which I will be sharing on this blog, so make sure you check them out.

I was kindly gifted The Curators almond snacks, and when I saw the smoked BBQ almonds I had to come up with something that would compliment the delicious taste that they already had.

I’m a huge snacker, for both sweet and savoury and because I always use my oats for sweet snacks, like my banana oats balls, I had to try and find a way of making something savoury! Introducing the smokey savoury oat ball, a delicious snack that takes minutes to make and you can eat on the go.

Ingredients

Half cup of oats

1 tablespoon of spreadable soft cheese

3 tablespoons of milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

sprinkle of pepper

sprinkle of paprika (to taste)

1 bag of the curators smoked bbq almonds

These ingredients are super easy to get hold of from any shop. I like to make sure each recipe is as easy and accessible as possible, as well as quick. I love my food and I don’t like waiting around for it, that’s why most of my recipes are quick, simple and easy peasy!

Method

>> Place the oats into a bowl.

>> Add the soft cheese and milk to the oats, then mix until combined.

>> Chop the almonds into small pieces and combine into the mixture.

>> Add salt, pepper and paprika to the mixture and combine.

>> Get half a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball between your hands.

>> Do this will all the mixture and place on a microwavable plate.

>> Place in the microwave for 1 minute.

>> Eat straight away nice and warm, or store them in an air tight container.

You can eat these warm and straight from the microwave or add them to a Buddha type bowl, with lots of yummy veggies. After I made mine, I dipped them in sauces like mayo and sweet chilli, it was delish! Of course you can play about with spices and flavours in these, if you like it hot why not add more spice?

Why don’t you try them out, I would love to see your recreations 🙂

Until next time x
